Someone once told me,
Learning to play an instrument
helps making learning in school
much easier...No lie.
So when it was time for my big boi
to pick electives for the school year,
I talked him into a music class
learning to play the trumpet..
I'm such a pushy mom..hehe
Being the good son that he is,
he gave in and signed up
and now he really enjoys it.
Thats the dork in him..hehe

I love that he can read music now
And tries to play everything with music notes
even from the Hymn book
even from the Hymn book
I love listening to him try to play

Army of Helaman
and soooo forth
Its such a joy to watch him play
and love it
Tonite we attended his school band concert
I was dreading it..lol
but after hearing them play
i could not stop smiling
i was amazed at their progression
I felt sooo proud
When I figure it out,

That's so awesome! And it's so true! You are a great mom! Still trying to find piano teacher for my kids!

ReplyDeleteOMG your so right Leah! I always wanted to get my kids involved in learning to play a instrument. You have truly inspired me to get on it w/ them. My son Keanu is great in guitar hero so maybe I should put him in some guitar classes! hahahaha
