Santa isn't real..

I've seen on several blogs about this PNP (Portable North Pole) Santa message.  I didn't really give much thought to it.  Didn't click the links to check it out.  Then finally the week of Christmas something urged me to really check it out.  How cool is this lil ol site.  And especially the personalized message from Santa.

Well Daisy girl had written her letter to Santa.  The usual, I've been good at home and school.  And listing the ol' so many things she'd like for Christmas.  So I figured she'll like to have a lil message from good ol' Santa.  Didn't bother with the boys.  They didn't wanna write letters and pretty much have figured out that Santa is really mommy and daddy....those ol' boogers!!!

Today we had my Tapusoa nieces and nephews with us while their parents were out finishing up their shopping.  I call them all over to see the email I just received for Daisy from Santa.  I got all the lil remarks..Santa isn't real!  Whatever!!  Yeah right..Santa wouldn't email you!!  Well I played the email message for them.  At first they all just watched not really into it.  But once they saw that Daisy was in his big ol' book and knew where she lived, they were more attentive.  Their eyes lit up and their smiles widen.  They looked at each other and thought it was the coolest thing ever.  They asked how he knew about Daisy's birthday and her softball team.  It was funny watching them all look sooo amazed.  Daisy asked "Did Santa go to your FB account to get those pictures mom?" hahaha.  I think he did.  From there on, she really did believe in Santa.  And was even more excited for Christmas.  She couldn't stop talking about her message..  Her lil cousins had not yet written their letters to Santa.  They got started right on writing them after watching it...Hehehehe.  Kids are sooo cute!!!

Christmas Street

After Sunday dinner at good ol' GC, we decided to take a drive out to Tville to check out Christmas Street.  I can never get enough of this street.  Year after year, we always make sure to check it out.  I love the Christmas spirit felt when driving through.  They must have a humongous electric bill in December...But i heard the power company gives them a discount for the month of December.  How cool!  I so wanna live on a street like this.  Yeah right, my house we'll be the only house not decorated.  hahaha.

Merry Christmas Street...hohoho!!!

Primary Christmas

We have a new primary presidency and today they put on a our ward primary christmas party.  Rushed home after work and got Daisygirl and my lil niece Jerzy for the party.  Daisy wanted to be festive and made sure I put out her red top to wear.  Okay...Hheheh

They had dinner for the kids and each kid was able to decorate an ornament and make a gingerbread house.  I was amazed how occupied and so into it each kid was.  They ended the night with some candy fun and lil goodie bags for each kid.  Daisygirl and my niece Jerzy said to me as we were leaving "Thank you so much for bringing us tonight".  Awwww...to cute.

Remember I said we'll start a new ornament making fam tradition?  Well Thank you primary president for helping me keep my word.  Hehehe.  I'm counting this one as our ornament for 2010.  Love it!!!

Merry Christmas

Oh Christmas Tree..

Oh Christmas Tree -- Oh Christmas Tree -- So beautiful and bright!!!  I can't remember if those are the exact words.  :)  I loved that this year, all I had to say was get the tree out and my kids did the rest.  I didn't have to do anything at all.  My babies went ahead a picked the spot for the tree.  Put it together.  Got all the decor out.  And hung 'em up.  Even got out the stockings and hung them up.  While they were decorating and putting on some of the homemade -- schoolmade ornaments we've collected over the years, we've decided to make a new family traditions and make a family ornament each year.  So now I'm looking around for some good ideas to make one for this year.   Tree check, wreath check, stockings check, snowflakes check...  And wah-la...its starting to look alot like Christmas up in hea.  I love that I was able to sit back and watch as they went to work.  My babygirl had the most fun and would have rathered done it herself.  It was a joy to watch them go at it, but I feel sad thinking that my babies are growing up.  I wish time would just slow down a bit.  Merry Christmas!!!

Youth Christmas

We had our youth Christmas party today.  We asked the kids to use their creative juices and make and wear your ugliest Christmas sweater.  Also to be creative and wrap find their white elephant gift from around their homes, school lockers, etc. Of the 30 youth kids we have, 3 attempted at the sweater and only a handful had real white elephant gifts.  We had a fun filled night.  Bishop spoiled us with a nice lil chunk of change so we were able to buy a nice dinner for the kids.  White elephant still turned out fun and musical chair too.  Love the youth we serve.

Those who attempted to wear their ugly Christmas sweater.  Miah and Myles attempted.  Good try boys.  Trina's sweater by far was the most original and ugliest of the night.

Hopefully next year we'll have more kids using the creativity to come up with the best ugly Christmas sweater..hehe

Biggest Loser

That would be a dream come true if I were the "Biggest Loser".  Hahaha  How come that just doesn't sound right?  With the Holidays here and all the yummy food and goodies to be had.  My husband decides he's gonna put on a Biggest Loser competition.  Who does that?  LOL.  Remember when he did the Fox13 Lighten Up Challenge...  And won...  And NOPE we still haven't gone to San Diego..ugh LOL.  Crossing my fingers for January... :) Anyhoo, He's gained most of his weight back.  No good.  So now he's determined again to lose and invited all his buddies, friends and family members too.  There is about 20 die harders who are sacrificing their holiday goodies to be a Biggest Loser.  Not I though.  Oh no...I can't say no to all the Holiday yummies.  That would just be rude.  LOL.  But I am however, working out and TRYING to change my eating habits.  So you could say, I'm participating.  ;)  It ends Dec 23rd so the winners (1boy/1girl) will have a nice lil chunk of change for Christmas.  I think I'll join in on the next one in January.  For now, I'll just go at it at my own pace.

Thanksgiving Day

We always eat way way too much on Thanksgiving.  But who doesn't?  Gotta show love to everyone so we always do both family.  Started out at my family gathering early in the day.  With my mom's side. Her bro's and sis's and all their kids and gkids.  Plans fell through and we couldn't get the chapel.  So we all gathered at the Faamoe's...  Like Whoa!!!  So not the business.  Hahahaha.  But it sure is always fun to get together with the family on the Holidays.  All close and personal.  Food was bomb.  Family was chilling, chatting, clowning, jamming.  Kids playing, crafting, crying and being loud.  I love family gatherings.  We definitely will need to make sure we get the chapel again next year.  People were everywhere...hahaha

We headed to my husbands side later that day.  My FIL is a very good cook.  My husband gets that from him.  Too bad he doesn't cook to often..hehehe  By far my FIL makes the best stuffing ever.  I always look forward to having his stuffing.  I'm satisfied if that is all I eat.  But of course all the other yummy food find its way on my plate.  ;)  With my in-laws its just our immediate family.  So its not loads of people.  But I enjoy it just the same.  Its at these gatherings that I get to know them better and enjoy talking and laughing with everyone.  And my kids get to hang out and have jam sessions with their cousins they don't often see.

Happy Thanksgiving

Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart.

I am indeed GRATEFUL from much this year.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Keeps me on the straight path.
My family.  Keeps me motivated and determined.
My job.  Keeps me secure and warm.
My friends.  Keeps me sane and care-free.
That is enough to keep me happy!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Blizzard

If your in Utah then you know today they have been warning about a big blizzard storm through out Utah.  I seriously wasn't thinking anything of it.  Then our bosses let us leave early to get home and not be in the storm when it does actually hit.  I stopped off at the store and bought a few necessity I thought we might need incase we are snowed in.  Well I didn't get any candles or matches.  Go figure.  So now I have the kids going through all our camp equip to look for our flash lights and lamps.  I hope they find it.  I'm cooking a hot dinner for us to eat incase the power goes.  And of course some hot cocoa.  Dangit no bread though...ugh.  I really hope this storm is really comming cause its got me all panicing.
Hopefully you all are prepared and not like me...hehehe  Have fun in the blizzard.  Stay warm and safe.  What you got planned for family?  Just wondering......

Diamond Lil's

When I think of Diamond Lils.  I think of too expensive and steaks.  So why are we having our football banquet there?  Oh well...  We attend Miah's team banquet there.  TD bucket paid for the boys.  Parents each paid $18 a piece.  Ouch :(  We didn't even get to eat any steaks.  Hahaha  All for the boys.  Miah enjoyed hanging out with his team one last time before they hang up the cleats for good.  He recieved a trophy and West t-shirts.  First year they didn't make it to the championship.  But still a fun learning year.  Go West Football!!!!

Try Outs

Miah and Myles have been excited for this week to come.
They both would be trying out for the jr high basketball team.
They both would go back and forth trash talkin'...boys I tell ya.
Day 1 of tryout, there is literally 500 boys.  Ok, maybe just 50.
Of the 50 about 16 boys would actually make the team.
M & M tried there best.  Dribbling, shooting, defense, offense.
Myles is a natural with his tall height and strong built.
Miah is opposite of that but is more in shape of the two.
They went to school the following day and found they both made the first cut.
Yah..trash talking continues.  Dang these boys.
More try outs that day.  More shooting, dribbling, defense, offense.
Both feeling they did ok but weren't feeling to confident.
Next morning they would find out if they made the team.
Myles made the team.  He is excited and just on cloud 9.
My baby boi Miah does not make the team.
Total bummer and I could tell the minute I picked him up from school.
So bummed he doesn't even want to do Jr Jazz.
Doesnt want anything to do with bball.
He had his heart set on making the team.
Had a lil heart to heart with him. Tear tear!!
Now he can just work on his skills and get on the team next time.
Myles comes home tired and sore.
It actually is funny cause this is my lazy nephew.
He's having a good time though
We all can't wait to go cheer him and our Legacy Lion's on.
Yes..Even Miah looks forward to cheering him on.
Go Legacy Lion Basketball!!!

Affair with COD

LOL.  I didn't know what to title this entry.  I had a few other titles in mind.  Like "I hate you COD"  or "COD is his bestfriend"  or "Go to Hell COD"  bwahaha.  But honestly I don't hate you that much.  Let me tell you about COD.  COD is my husbands love.  He spends countless hours with COD.  He'll wake up in the middle of the night to play with COD.  He stays up late at night to be with COD.  Sometimes will even miss dinners with the family to be with COD.  We could be eating saimin for the week, but he will find someway to buy the newest COD out there.  Do you know who COD is?  It is that stupid xbox 360 game Call of Duty.
The newest version or series or whatever the heck you wanna call it, came out today.  "Black Ops"  People lined up worldwide at midnight to buy this game.  It cost $60 freekin buckaroos.  You know I could have used that for something for the whole entire family.
As much as I dislike COD and all the many versions of it, I still allow my husband to buy and play it.  Really I probably overexaggerated his addiction to COD.  But he really does love his online gaming time.  Sometimes a bit to much for me.
I really shouldn't complain though.  When he's playing his game, I'm on the laptop blogging, facebooking and surfing all over the net and all...  So I'm just as much a gamer as he is...No I'm Not!! LOL.

Birthday Fun with Madisyn!

My cute lil niece Madisyn celebrated her 1st BIRTHDAY with family and friends today. Her mommy and daddy started planning way in advance and went all out for their lil angel. I love hanging out with the family and letting the kids just run wild and go crazy. It didn’t help either that they had access to massive candy to help them get a little more crazy. Madisyn has truly been a blessing to our family. And she has been blessed with wonderful parents.

Happy Birthday Sweetie!!

Madi's very own sweets and treats for all the party guest.  Her sign in book was an I AM A CHILD OF GOD one.  Loved it.  Each favor bag had tooth brush and paste for the guest.  With all the treats there at the party, they definitely needed it.  Hehehe.

Fun Fun Fun!!!!

2010 Little League Football Playoffs

Jeremiah played his last football game of the season today. We placed 3rd in the league. So we played 2nd place team Hillcrest to see who advances to Championship. We played them earlier in the season and lost to them. They pretty much dominated the game the whole time. I figured, well it was early in the season. Maybe this time around it’ll be different. Well it wasn’t. Hehehe. Hillcrest beat us good. Final score of 21-6. We had opportunities to score several times. But it just didn’t happen for us. I was really bummed. I really wanted this year to be a Championship year. But the other teams definitely wanted it more. We’re done for the season. Time to turn in the football equipment. And move on to the next thing. Jeremiah played a good season. He is having fun but realizes that now he needs to not only have fun but take it serious. He’s getting older and in a year or two will be playing high school ball. He can’t wait for that as there is no weight limitation on the position you play…hehehe My boy wants to be a running-back. He gave the lineman position 6 years of his life and wants to run the rock. Hahaha. If you want it, you can do it son!!!!

Foi and my newphew Iversyn’s gremlin team also played in the playoffs today. Their team was in 2nd place and played 3rd place Granger to advance to Championship. Granger has this big ol’ kid that just scared the living crap out of our team. Hehehe He stopped our running game and was a big part in their running game. Honestly, He alone won that game for them. That kid is a beast. Final score was 12-0. Not a harsh score but sad nonetheless for our lil gremlin Panthers. Great season though.  We’ll get ‘em next year guys.. Especially since that kid is moving up and playing in the older age bracket….bwahahaha.

We Love WEST Football!!!

Hot Hula...WHOA!!!

So back in the day my friends and I were on a Turbo Jam kick. The infomercials are always on TV. It did its magic and I gave in and purchased all the workout DVDs and all the materials that come with it. And yes I actually did use my DVDs for a good 2 weeks …LOL. Well one of the gals on the DVD is polynesian. She was overweight and out of shape and TJ helped her lose the weight and she looks amazing on there. She is skinny and muscular but not in a manly way. I was amazed at her success. I wanted soo much to look like her. Hahaha. Well I tried.

Anyhoo, this same poly gal on Turbo Jam is Miss Hot Hula Anna-Rita Sloss.. Good on her for the success. She used her heritage and her fitness success and came up with Hot Hula Fitness. Go girl… Fitness and cha-ching…hehehe. Hot Hula is blowing up. And this past Friday I was able to attend a free master class introducing Hot Hula to Utah.

So I’m not much for doing Tahitian dancing. Samoan I can do. But shaking my caboose..ummm don’t know how, don’t like it. But since I enjoy Zumba so much. I figured it couldn’t be that hard. Well, it is and it isn’t. For me only because I don’t feel confidence in my booty bouncing and all that stuff. But all that aside, I had a good workout and a good time. I was sweating my buttocks off. I could feel it in my legs, my stomach, my arms, my back.  It definitely was worth my time. It was a bit chaotic being that I couldn't hear the instructor.  But I still enjoyed myself  It was jammed packed and everyone looked to be having a grand ol’ time. I think so much so that they have planned another Free Master Class for next month. And yep…I’m sooo there!!!

Halloween Costumes

I'm really cheap when it comes to buying Halloween Costumes.  Instead of looking at the actual costumes, I'm looking at the price tags for the cheapest one.  Or I'll even settle for the hand me downs.  I think alot of it has to do with me thinking it'll only be worn once on Halloween.
Well...I'm so glad to say though that the kids have been able to wear their costumes more than once this year.  Five times to be exact.  Thats a record high for us.  Grateful for all the Trunk or Treats and School Festivals that allows them to do so.  And as a parents, I feel like I've got my money's worth..hehee.  Yes all twenty bucks.  Thats all that matters right.
Enjoying one of the many trunk-treat.  It rained really hard.  After this, DaisyGirl didn't even wanna go door to door.  My son thinks he's too old for that stuff now...he's a party pooper.  But I was one happy mother.  Hahahha

Righteous Silly Bandz

Do you have kids who are just crazy over those silly bands?  I'm sure you do.  Its hard to resist buying them for my daughter when they are at every check out stand.  They've come in handy when I'm out of bands for her hair.  LOL  Yep, ghetto.  They are fun though.  Well did you know that you can purchase LDS bands?  Pretty cool.  Check it out here http://righteousbandz.com/  I just know my lil one would love these.  She'd go crazy trading them away with your buddies.

Pumpkin fun -- Happy Halloween

The lil kids get sooo excited to see the pumpkins and talk about the carvings they'll do on them.  Some want them gorry scary.  Others pretty.  Some goofy.  Whatever they want.  We try and provide.  And sadly by the end of it, its the adults who end up finishing it off.  The adults being myself and my sis Rissa.. Hahha  Nonetheless we still love it and enjoy doing it together as a family.  Happy Halloween!!

Colby's creation.  He wanted to add a mole to the pumpkin's face.  you'll see he has one himself.  hahaha  such a goonball!!

Miss Jerzy is mimicking her pumpkin's face...hahah.  They look like twins.  LOL.  Goofy pumpkin just like this lil goofy girl..

Daisy-girl kept hers simple and sweet.  Just like she is...hehehe.  I'm suprised she didn't put some softball gear on it...

Diva Brooklyn wanted her's to be a pretty princess face.  Uh...ok!  Well thats the closest we could get it to pretty princess..hahaha  Oh well... she was excited it had eyelashes..

And then we have Mr Iversyn.  Mean Pumpkin Machine.  LOL.  Nice eyebrows there buddy..hahaha.

Football

My son and his teammates for the past 6 years.  Oh what fun memories.

Dang you Skyline...

So in sports each team has their nemesis...right?  well for as long as my son has played little league football I'd say SKYLINE (lol) is his team nemesis.
They have gone up against Skyline in the championship almost every year.  With the exception of maybe 2 years.  Basically the 2 years we didn't play them, we won the championship game.
They come every year a better and better team.  They definitely do their homework and come to play to be champions.  Not that we don't.

Well this past Saturday while we were in Mesquite, WEST played Skyline.  Actually let me rephrase WEST bantams got slaughtered by SKYLINE.  Score of 48-0.  I was...We all were in total shock.  Its like no one showed up to play that day.  Sounds like we were out coached.  Whatever the reason, we lost bad.
I just hope that WEST gets their act together and get to playing some ball.  This is the last year of Little League for most of the boys.  And honestly, I want them to end with a Championship.  And honestly, that is not the score of  CHAMPIONS.  We have to win our next 2 games to stay in it.  Kearns and Granger have been cake to beat in the past.  But after our loss last week, I don't know about that.  Anything can happen though.
Lets get 'em WEST Bantams!!!!

On a good note, West Gremlins (Foi coaches this team) won at the last minute.  My nephew Iversyn at the last minute scored the winning touchdown.  Heard is was a good run.  Broke thru tackles, juking the players, stiff-armed a kid, hitting the other players (a couple of his own team mates too...hehe) to get that score.  So proud of our Gremmies.  This week will be a tough game against undefeated Kearns.  Who so happens to be coached by Foi's cousin/childhood friend.  It'll be fun no matter the outcome.  Lets go WEST!!!

Warriors in MESQUITE

We just returned from WARRIORS final tournament of the season. We've been saving and planning and had a grand ol time there with everyone. Our team arrived late afternoon on Thursday. Started our weekend off with dinner at Eureka with the whole team and family supporters. Grateful for generous people who made it possible to eat some good ol' casino buffet and not have to pay for it...Love it! Hehe.  We then all headed over to Virgin River for some night swimming and good ol bowling.  What a fun way to start off the tournament weekend..  Had to get the fun all in before it was softball time.
There were 2 teams from Hawaii and 2 teams from Utah.  2 other teams backed out last minute...BOO them.  But it was still a fun tournament.  Hawaii came to play.  They do softball all year round and it totally showed.  They were good.  Infact so good, we loss to them both and put us in the losers bracket.
We made it to the semi-final game beating out DC Demise from Bountiful to determine who would play the undefeated Hawaii (HanaPa'a) team for Championship.  So once again we were gonna meet up with Hiki No.  Earlier they barely beat us 9-8 in one of the most innings played game...7 to be exact.  During this game though, our girls were determined to win.  And you could tell by how well they played.  Coach Ibrahim made adjustments to our outfielders and BAM we stopped them and won that game 14-8.  It was AWESOME  and at that point didn't care if we loss the Championship game.  That is how awesome that win was.  From the beginning we were on top and held them.  Girls defense and offense was on point.
Championship game we played our game.  But Hawaii played even harder.  We loss the game and took 2nd.  But it was one of the most fun games we had.  Being that Hawaii coaches and players showed such good sportsmanship.  We love the Hawaii teams.  Every game they lei'd each girl and gave them a lil hawaiian souvenir or lihi-mui candy.  It was sooo fun and the girls loved it sooo much.
I totally have to say the Hawaii teams made this tournament one of the best.  They knew they were good but always showed good sportsmanship.  They were sooo nice to share their spotlight with our team...  After the game we talked and joked around with them..  What an awesome way to end of nice tournament.
We had such good support.  So grateful for our WARRIORS FAMILY.  Definitely a good way to end such an awesome softball season.  Now I can relax and enjoy the remainder of my son's football season and hopefully get some workouts in.  I need it..  Until next season....PEACE!!

It really is sad...

....When I feel like I get most things around the house done on the sabbath.  Like today.  I was up early, but instead of studying the sunday school or young women lesson, I start to clean up my room.  It leads to cleaning my daughters room.  Then the living room.  The bathrooms.  The kitchen.  The week is busy hectic that Sunday's is the only day we are all home and can get things done.  So by the time 3 o'clock rolls around, I'm too tired and distracted to even think about church.  Thats been the way for the past month.
...I was determined today (of course still had my struggles) to get the family to church.  Proud we finally made it.  And as we drove home from church today, I could not help but feel happy and proud that we made it.  I love the spirit I felt today and the testimonies and lessons taught.  I love how the spirit moves and inspires me.
...Will be praying extra extra hard that this week I can be more productive and organized that I can really enjoy the sabbath day, as it truely is meant to be.  The
...Happy Sabbath to you all!!!!  BTW..Happy Birthday to my sis Rissa Tuinei.  Love ya sis and hope you enjoyed your birthday!

Island Girls Softball

We had our first games of the season today.  All I can say is WOW!!!  We knew beforehand that it would be a learning experience for our team.  I guess to sum things up.  We lost both games.  Pretty bad.  Score of 10-2 and 16-0.  In the second game, our whole roster didn't even bat..hehehe.  Yeah.  With our 8u team, it the was the other way around.  Real humbling experience.  We definitely have alot to learn in the 10u division.  The other team coaches remembered our dominating team from the summer.  They were soo nice to give us pointers and help us out..  We are excited for this level of play and determined to be the best.  We still enjoyed ourselves.  The girls had a good time.  And we could not believe all the support we had there.  And you wouldn't have known we were losing that bad.  Although they were all nervous and afraid of those fast pitches, they did an awesome job..  Lets go ISLAND GIRLS!!!!

Julie & Julia....look what you've put in my head!!!

I just finished watching this movie.  It was highly rated on Netflix.  Figured I'd check it out.  I really enjoyed it.  Julie was soo determined.  But of course had her melt downs but the success she has now made it all worth it.  Love it!!  Well I thought, I wonder if I could possibly set a goal like that and stick to it.  Cooking wise.  Well I thought and decided, I can't.  Bwahahaha.  With my kids in school, their extra activities and lessons, my job, church calling, mother/wife duties I possibly couldn't cook 500 something recipes in 365 days.  Not to mention the budget you'd need to cook from a cook book everyday.  I soooo do not have that kinda of  money.  So I thought, well maybe I could find a smaller cook book and aim to cook my family a nice HEALTHY home cooked meal (the works) once a week.  Yeah, I'm sad that I don't already do that now.  So I am going to attempt that.  I hope to do it for the rest of our lives...hehehe  And maybe it'll just turn into twice or three times a week.  Hehehe.  So here I go on my cooking journey.  Well gotta go buy some chicken for koga'i today...hehehe...

West Football is in full effect!!!

Posted by Picasa
Yep...it definitely is. And I'm not sure how I really feel about it. Honestly I have a love hate feeling about. Love to watch my men in action. But hate all the busy-ness that comes with the sport. My schedule is already full as it is.. I act like I'm the one playing and coaching.  None-the-less, I'm excited for another football season.
Hoping for a great season for my son as it may be his last year of lil league. Wow, how they grow sooo fast. He's played with the same group of boys since he was 8. They've learned the sport together. Can't believe how soooo grown they all are. Definitely excited to see these group of boys playing on the field in high school.
Also excited for my husband who is coaching my nephew Iversyn's gremlin (8-9 years old) team. He really is having a good time learning and growing with the boys. They are sooo cute in their lil own pads and uniforms. But because they are just learning, alot of them just stand around. Hahahah Funny to me but can be frustrating for Foi. But slowly but surely they are coming around.
Lets Go West Football!!!
So all of our Saturday mornings and afternoons are booked solid for the next 2 months. So pencil us in for the evening...hahaha Whatevers!!!

Jumping Jerry...hahaha

My son would sooo be annoyed with the title of this post.  LOL.  But of course I couldn't leave him out.  Cause he too was just learning to swim this summer.  I don't know how he could stand to be in the pool before and not be at the deep side with all the boys his age.
Anyhoo...this is also his first time diving.  He was alright on the small board.  As he got higher.  He was a bit nervous.  Still did it cause he couldn't let his lil sister and cousins out do him.  He moved up even higher.  And higher.  And higher.  He didn't quite make it to the very top.  I'm sure next time around though he will.  My SIL and I not could not stop laughing at him though.  No matter which board he jumped from he always was in the same position.  He would just jump, body straight, both hands to the side.  It looked like a very frightened jump.  Hahaha  But he did it and he was proud.  He had more guts then his dad.  His dad chickened out and finally jumped once off the lowest platform...hahaha  Terrible Fo'i..

My lil Diving Daisy!

Posted by Picasa  Daisy girl just learned to swim.  Actually, she is still learning to swim.  She got the basic dog paddle, floating down...I think.  Anyhoo, this is her diving for the first time ever.  I was scared out my mind.  Good thing daddy was in the pool looking out for her.  Trust I was ready to dive in if I had too.  Hahaha.  She is my dare-devil.  She started at the lower board and went up a lil higher.  And she didn't want to settle to just jump off the board.  She wanted to do lil tricks.  Like flip in the air.  Jump in and touch her toes first.  OMG..you tell her, she'll try it.  She would have gone even higher if the lifeguard would have let her.  She was sooo stoked out of her mind and would not stop talking about it.  Now she wants to go there all the time.

Busy Busy Bee's...

I had been reading back on my older post and thought that I really should keep my blog updated. I’ve only been blogging for about a year and already I can go back and read and laugh and wonder and wish about my life. My family life. So I’m hoping to keep this mug update as best I can. I notice I only update the good things. Trust, I have my share of downfalls. With myself and family. But then it gets to be too personal for the world to read.  So from here on out, I'm Back!!!  Not like anyone missed me anyway...hahaha

Anyhoo… Warriors softball ended with 5 tournament championships. It was definitely a long fun filled season. Daisy enjoyed it but I think Foi and I enjoyed it even more. I better be sure that she is doing this for herself and not living out our dreams…hahaha. She isn’t quite done with softball though. Warriors will have one last tournament in October in Mesquite. Can’t wait for October.. But for the time being, most of her team mates and a few new ones have moved up to the 10U age group. We are trying out an accelerated league this fall season. Our team is the Island Girls. Our husbands are busy with football so us wives have put on our softball hats for a minute. Hahaha. Poor girls.

Yes…Football season is here. Another busy and time consuming sport. Hahaha. Foi decided this year he’d coach with my nephews team. So he is coaching the 8 and 9 year old boys. He’s having a fun time with them. Miah I think enjoys not having his dad around. Hahahha. Sad but true. He enjoys playing football and worked really hard during the last school year to have his grades up to play. Hard work really does pay off. This Saturday will be his first game of the season. Go West Football!!!.

And with all this going on… School is back in session. We have my nephew living with us for the school year as he attends Legacy Prep with my kids. I enjoyed the nice break from homework, school lunches, uniforms, instruments, carpools, school fee's.…but I’m excited for the new school year and so are the kids.  We are looking forward to UEA weekend already though...hehehe

So this fall our family will be living at the park again doing softball and football and at the same time living out the daily fuss in the life of the Taloa’s… I hope I don’t go gray before the holidays…

End of Summer Fun!!

Oh summer how so quickly you past. Fortunately, the kids had a chance to have a lil fun and not just be busy going to softball practice and tournaments.

Ward camp at Willard Bay was fun fun. All day swimming and all day hanging out with our family and friends.  Roasting marshmallows, playing games til late into the nite..fun fun fun all week long.

Unlimited play at Boondocks...fun fun fun. Even more funner that it was totally free. Race cars, batting cage, mini golf, water fights, 3d movie coaster, lazer tag, arcades...totally a fun fun time.  Thank you JCPenney.

We've been blessed to hit up Lagoon every summer thanks to Coca Cola. One of the highlights of the summer. Our family is there from sun up to sun down. You totally know your old when you're there that long and don't go on one ride.  Now even rattle snake rapids.  We sure did hit up all the shows.  Still a fun time for me.  And a fun time for the kids.  We let them loose and they had a grand ol' time.

Glad we could have some fun before heading back to school. Buh bye summer!!!

Oquirrh Mtn Softball Tournament

We weren't able to be at Flag week as much as we wanted due to Daisy's tournament in Riverton.  Games from Thurs through Saturday.  And this week was the hottest weather so far.  Once again packed the family up with lunch and lots of water and spent most of our days in Riverton.  Ours girls once again came home with the Big Trophy.  We played Vernal this time for championshiop.  Good games all around.  Our bats were hot.  Our defense was on point.  Trust, we still have work to do.  But still proud of the girls.  Their hard work really pays off.   We had a coach from a South Jordan excellarated team scouting our girls.  But we'll keep it hood.  Hahaha.  We got a good thing going on in Rose Park.  Its our home and thats where we wanna keep it.  2010 Champs in Oquirrh Mountain.  Thanks for hosting a great tournament Riverton.

Warriors ROCK!!!

While we were at Youth Conf, my babygirl had another softball tournament. After winning championship at their first tourney, our team was invited to SLC Champs tourn in Salt Lake City up by UofU campus. I was feeling bad for not being their at all. But we were able to slipp away during dinner time on Friday to see her games. And then had to rush back in the middle of her game to get back to Youth Conference. Although You'll notice Fo'i is in this pic.  After they won championship.  He told Bishop he had to work and left conf on Saturday for a lil bit....busted.  Hahahha.  Heard it was an intense battle to win.  Down the whole game and fighting to get ahead.  So proud of our girls.   Another ‘championship’ for them. So far, we are unstoppable. Good job ladies. Next week tourney in Riverton. Lets go WARRIORS!!!

Be Strong and of Good Courage – Youth Conf 2010

For the past 5 years I have served in the youth. Currently as the 2nd counselor to our YW Pres. I’ve served as advisor, president, in the stake presidency and every time I’m always hoping for a change. But in all honesty, I love serving the youth. They keep me young. LOL. J/k. This past weekend we had our ward youth conference. We were at Camp Williams Military Base from Thurs July 8th to Saturday July 10th. Ended with our Sunrise Service Sunday Morning at our Stake Park. I had a good time. And I know for a fact our youth kids enjoyed themselves.  Motivational speaker, workshops, utimate freezbee, song tree, leadership course/obstacle course, repelling, waterballoon, talent show/stomp/peotry reading, dance, service project, swimming, testimony meeting, sacrament program, food and fun.  I'm glad we won't have to worry about another one for another 2 years..

Pictures coming soon...

Bring on the RAGE

Got up early to clean up and pack up for Raging Waters. Our dear friends got us a good deal and we couldn’t past it up. Made lunch, packed our bags and off we went. The weather was perfect. It wasn’t too crowded with it being a holiday day. We had just a good time and enjoyed each others company. I even got in the water. Its been awhile. Good fun all around.
Ready and waiting to get they swim on

i LOVE my FAMILY

Lunch with the fam before they all headed back to California.  It sure was nice to have all my sisters here in one place.  Of course can't forget my brothers too.  I love when we can all hang out together and just laugh til we are crying.  Having our kids all play together and getting to know each other better.  Precious moments.

Happy Independence

My parents have such good friends. Their friends brought over fireworks to them. So once again, we did not have to spend money on fireworks for the kids. And its been that way for the past several years. I love it. Thank you for being so generous. We were all able to meet at gma&gpa and watch the children enjoy the fireworks. The lil ones were afraid of the big ones. So the sparklers and pop it’s kept them entertained. The older ones wanted to experiment and be creative. We all had a simple laid back fun time. Love my family.

Happy Birthday "Angelys"

We started our fun weekend by celebrating my niece’s 1st bday. Family and friends gathered together to celebrate. Her parents are avid Q’ers and are pretty darn good at it too.. So when we know they on the grill, no one misses out..hahaha. We enjoyed a day of fun games, music bumping, good food and great company. Angelys is just ONE and I’m sure she had no clue all of it was for her…hahaha Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!!

Dash N Splash

All-Stars softball is in full effect.  We are sooo excited this year.  We have 9 of our 13 players from regular season on our All-Stars team.  Then picked up 3 girls from the other teams.  The girls have been practicing long and hard to prepare for the tournaments.  We had our first one over the weekend in Grantsville/Tooele.  There were teams from all over the valley.  Murray, Tville, Riverton, Vernal, Kaysville and West Valley.  We went undefeated all tournament to win 1st place/Championship...YAY.  So proud of our girls.  They played well and had a good time doing it...  Such a fun tournament.  We're excited and looking forward to many more..Go Bountiful Warriors!!!!!

"MY" Birthday

I was feeling great when I walked into work this morning and my coworkers had my desk decorated and the Happy Birthday's from everyone.  Felt even more great when a couple of them thought I was celebrating somewhere in my 20's..hehe  Thank you friends..hehe.  35 years..  My sisters says wow, thats old.  They aren't too far behind.  But fo' reals...I'm getting old.  In 5 years I'll be 40...whoa!!!  Great day spending it with my family.  I was craving pupu chicken so my sis came over and helped make pupu chicken and made a pineapple upside down cake.  I was craving that too.  Love my family and grateful to spend my day with them.  I took Foi's BestBuy gift card from work and bought myself a camera..  Simple inexpensive camera that'll hopefully do the job...hahaha  Now I can put my camera phone to rest..haha.  Happy Birthday ME!!!

Gummi WHAT Lei

During my nieces graduation last year her gma from Cali gave her a gummi lei.  When I saw it, i couldn't figure out what it was.  It was soft, colorful and just really nice.  Trust I studied it well thinking I could possibly make it.  I asked her gma what it was and she said gummi bears.  Um...ok, nevermind..not gonna try it.  Already sounds difficult.  Tried to explain it to my sis and everything.  Then forgot all about it.  During grads this year, I saw the lei's again.  Then thought, maybe its gummi worms...ten years later LOL.  So for Fathers Day this year, my sis and I stayed up all night long to make the lei's for our Father's.  The first lei took us a good hour...hahaha.  Then we got smart and figured it out and then next thing you know, we were making one in 20 minutes.  Still have to perfect it though.  Cause our braid is kinda bulky and sloppy hehehe.  We ended up making a total of 8 lei's and were soooo proud of ourselves.  hahaha.  My BIL worked that day and decided to wear his to work.  He had never seen it before and wanted to show it off..hahaha.  I like this lei cause its something different from your regular candy lei's.  I heard some lady up north sells these for $20.  Trust, it cost us $7 for the big bag of worms which makes about 4 or 5 leis.  Used ribbons and saran wrap already in our homes.  All it takes is patience and you've got yourself a really cost effecient beautiful lei.  Also try them with twizzlers and red vines or the colorful vines..hehehe.  YAY!!!
