Don’t know what else to title this blog.. I can’t believe that April has come and gone and not one post from me. Was I not just excited about blogging..Terrible! Anyhoo, here is my attempt to summarize all the happenings this month. There were a few important events that I can not believe I did not document. Here it goes….
April – I’m back in the YW presidency. As 2nd counselor. I have mixed feelings about my newest calling. The youth is a very demanding calling with something to do everyweek. That’s probably the most worst part of it. However, I love the ladies that I serve with and know that we will all work together to have a great program. Total in the past 2-3 years we’ve been at our RP ward, I’ve been called in and out of the YW like 10 times..Serious. Well wish me luck!!!
April 1st – Not only is it April Fool’s day to the world, but it is Happy Birthday to mommy and mama dearest. And anyone who knows my mom, knows that her birthday suits her. She’s is not your prankster type at all, but always sees the humor in everything. Probably even when it shouldn’t be funny…haha. We gathered together with the family to celebrate her bday with dinner and dessert. The family had a good time..
April 2nd – My mom goes in for knee surgery. Honestly knee surgery is not all that serious. But for us, it was. This is our mom and when you think of hospitals and surgery, I just get nervous. My mom was a good sport about her surgery. She had to get pics of her in her gown and everything to send to her friends. Who does that? Hahah. That’s how dorky my mom is. Fortunate to see the surgery was a success. We greatly appreciate all the flowers and words of comfort she received from everyone. We knew by all those who visited and called how loved our mother is. Thank you all very much.
April 4th – My baby PRINCESS turned 7. OMG..she is growing up too too fast. Please can we go back a couple of years..well maybe not. LOL. Kept her bday simple with cake and ice cream. She has outgrown her toddler bike so all she wanted was a big girl bike. And that she got. Love you babygirl.
April 10th – Mr COD and I celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary. Like Whoa…Oldies. Hahaha. Time flies by too too fast. It definitely is an anniversary worth celebrating. Too bad Mr George Washington was no where to be found. LOL. So we kept it simple with dinner at Tuscano at the gateway and a sleepover at Mr. Holiday Inn. Thanks to my BF for the hookup. It honestly felt like we were far away.. Love the 10 years so far and look forward too many many more happy times and headaches with my honey bunches of COD.
April 12th - EASTER. This year everything didn’t go as plan. The weather Easter weekend was crappy. I was too into spending quality time for my anniversary that I really didn’t get into Easter. Sorry kids. Thank you to my SILs (love ya ladies) who were sweet enuf to provide easter baskets for my kids. And luckily JCP was having a good enuf sale that my children got easter outfits. I left it for FHE to help them understand the true meaning of easter. Next Easter I’ll be more prepared. HOPEFULLY!!!
April 14th – PRINCESS’s first dance class with the talents of MH. She was way excited to start her classes. She loves the dances of Polynesia. And I’m grateful she’ll have the opportunity to learn from someone who knows whats she’s doing. So no more youtube.com for us. LOL.
April 18th – A and K’s wedding.. So for the most part the whole month of April we tried to fit in the kids dance practice along with the already busy schedule we all have. A and K were sealed in the SLC Temple. The sealing was as always beautiful and the spirit was truly felt. It was the first boy wedding and also first palagi wedding (lol) for my mom’s side of the family. So it was very laid back compared to the other weddings. Everything was wonderful. From the sealing, pictures, reception, afterwards....the whole nine yard. Not bragging or anything. But it truly was a great wedding. K’s family are wonderful people and my cuzzin A is blessed to have awesome in-laws. Congrats you two…
April 19th – Sad day for me and my kids..LOL. Mr COD left today to cali and then on to NZ. My FIL will be getting married in NZ on April 25th. This is the first long trip he has taken by himself. And I hate it. I miss my honeyboo sooo much. And so do the kids. My PRINCESS cried the first nite so we had to make a call to daddy to make her better. And then every nite after that..hehe. We really were happy he could be there for his dads special day. But dang, I hate these long trips. Next time around, we’re all going. Hahaha. Meaning next LONG trip around…duh! I have to do a whole separate blog about his time in NZ. First for him….
April 25th – Happy 2nd Birthday to my niecey J-TAP. We were busy this weekend with Jerzy’s bday bash. She shares close bdays with her first cousin on her dads side. And since he was having a big 1st bday last year, my sis and bro-in-law didn’t want to take away from his celebration to give her a big party. So they waited and this year Miss J was able to have her big celebration. Thanks also to her 2nd parents, V&M T. The weather was crappy still. But that did not stop the Tapusoa’s and Tuinei’s from getting the party started..hahaha. J had a circus themed party with fun, food and games. All went well and J enjoyed herself and all the goodies she got. Thank you to our family and friends for your support.
April 29th – Preseason just ended and today is the first game of the regular softball season for my PRINCESS. Another one of her pastime activities. I love the game of softball and want my daughter to love it and play it. This is her 2nd year playing and so far she likes it but not love it. LOL. She’ll come around though. She better..Hahaha. I think she likes that she is playing with her favorite buddies. BTW, they won 5 to 3. Hehehe. Good luck Sweet Peas (her team name) for the rest of the season.
Well as you can see, its been a crazy month. And I’m glad its finally come to an end and I can sort of breathe.. My honeyboo is home and my kids are healthy. My life is truly blessed. So I can’t complain. Now…on to the next month. We’ll see what May has to bring….
This post would have been better with pictures but unfortunately I have no working cameras. I’ll be saving up to get one. Hopefully soon…
