I know what your thinking...Speed Dating. No not for me...hehe.. To go along with it being Valentines this month our young men leaders planned a speed dating activity for our youth combine this month. The youth had a great time getting to know each other better and finding out things about each other that they probably would have never known. We hope it helped them have confidence in themselves to talk to others and even of the opposite sex. Don't worry, we made sure everyone understood the importance of waiting til your 16 (actually 21 for samoans..lol) to date, dating in groups, dating those with high standards, dating to protect each others honor and virtue. Not getting serious with the first person you THINK you love (lol) etc. I know our youth kids enjoyed themselves and learned alot about each other and what to look for when they are of dating age. Another fun and spiritual activity to add to the books. I think this is one activity we need to have our YSA (Young Single Adults) do...hahahaha.
This is so cute! I love that ideas and wish we came up with something like that for our youth. We got into groups and each group did a skit on how you're suppose to date. The right way. It was fun. ehee..I totally agree with the YSA need..our young adults need to do that as well:)lol
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I actually didnt try the speed dating activity until recently this past year when we had our huge YSA conference! Great activity for the youth and young single adults!
