Zumba in Zion..haha

For our personal progress activity this month, Audra our awesome PP advisor planned a mother/daughter Zumba night. Asked BZC instructor Teresa Auva’a to come out and teach us. We extended the invite to all the mothers in our ward and had a good turn out. We got kinda worried when Teresa shows up and there is only 2 of us there. As we are about to begin, ladies started showing up…YAY. We used our gym and had everyone from the primary, young women, YSA and Relief Society, old and young following along. Couldn’t help but laugh at our older ladies. I tell ya, they were trying their best to keep up and did well. It was a good work out and I just love Zumba more and more. We had a lot of good responses from it. And even some who want to attend Teresa’s class. One gal has the Zumba workout DVDs and she loved Teresa’s workout better. Fun night working out together with my sisters in Zion. Now they know that working out doesn’t have to be boring. Yay for Zumba!!!

Oh My Word!!!

Team Sexy just continues to amaze me. Even when I see him having a cheat meal, he still pulls it out. Yes cheat meal, not cheat day.  Its easier to work off a cheat meal then it is a cheat day.  So I've learned.  His daily workouts have really paid off. Cause he totally works out hard.  I wish I had his determination.  Today, he weighed in at 298.9. Losing 7.9lb from last week. Total weight lost of 38.2lbs.  Hooray!!  I'm sooo proud of him.  He truly is an inspiration.  He is no longer in the 300 club.  A club he sadly joined after joining the married life. Hehehe.  My cooking must be good..NOT.  LOL.  His opponents had good numbers this week too.  Compared to last week at least.  Honestly I was starting to think that he got this in the bag.  Like they weren't taking it too seriously.  But every body is different.  Every pound is a big deal.  So big props to them too.  May the Biggest Loser win...hehe.  Go TEAM SEXY!!!

I'm Praying!!

During church today we found out DaisyGirl would be interviewing right after church for her upcoming baptism.  We thought it'd be on Thursday.  So I just mentioned it to her.  She looked at me confused and out of it.  Right before sacrament, she mentioned she was sort of nervous.  She really wanted me to be there with her.  I talked to her and told her she'd be fine and to just listen carefully and say what she knows.  I told her that she could say a lil prayer to herself to have the spirit comfort her and help her feel confident.  She said ok.  I try and get her out there so she isn't sooo shy, guess I need to help her more.  During sacrament meeting I look over and she has her head bowed and eyes closed.  Looks like she's sleeping.  If theres one thing that annoys me, its sleeping husband and kids during sacrament..hehe.  Which I'm embarassed to say they do alot of.  Even when they get to bed early.  Anyhoo I elbow her to wake up.  She looks at me and says "Mom, I'm praying".  Oops, I said sorry and let her get back to her praying.  I watched her as she prayed and was overcome with the spirit.  What a perfect picture it is to see a lil child praying.

How To Train a Dragon

A couple weeks ago I got a permission slip for DaisyGirl's class field trip. They would be going to Gateway mall to watch "How To Train a Dragon". They had been reading the book as a class and now were going to go watch the movie.  She was way excited and asked if I could take the day off to go. I felt really bad telling her No.  I knew it was too late to try and have someone cover on Friday.  I'm the only one there most of the day.  She understood mommy's dilema and said, 'its ok, next time'.My poor baby.  Anyhoo, today was the big field trip day.  She woke up extra early and was more excited than ever to be going to school. She's like, "Mom, did you know it only take 15 minutes for us to get to Gateway from our school".  It was the most amazing thing to her.  LOL.She said, the bus will pick us up at 9.  Arrive at gateway at 915.  Movie starts at 930.  The bus would be back to pick us up at 11.  We'd be back at school for lunch and then have math etc.  Ok, thank youfor the whole schedule baby..hahaha.  Today she got home and she goes,"the bus was late mom", so we had to cancel math for today.. HUH? Cancel math..I said you should have cancelled lunch..hahah.  She didn't think that was funny.  Anyhoo, overall she enjoyed her fieldtrip.  She loved the movie.  She didn't think it followed the book.  The bookwas about training the dragon.  The movie was about killing dragons. Her exact words..heheh.  A few of her friends cried.  She swears she didn't cry.  I believe her..she's not emotional like mommy. She enjoyed her fieldtrip.  I'm glad she had a good time. Next one will be the zoo before school ends.. Hopefully it isn't on a Friday so that I can go with her class.. Great trip for babygirl..I should have sent the camera with her...Oh well!!!

Week 3

Today marks day 22 of Foi’s participation in Fox13’s Lighten Up challenge. Today he weighed in at 306.8 losing 4 lbs this week. Bringing his total to 30.2 lbs. Amazing. I’m sooo proud of him. He was a lil discouraged from his weight lost today but I told him that is still big. 4lbs is a lot. To me at least..hehe. He still has 5 weeks to go. He is even more motivated for the upcoming week. His knees have been bothering him. I’ve been trying to get him to his doctor to get it checked out. He’s blaming his gout and taking his meds but it aint working..hehe. Hopefully I can get him in soon to see if there is anything else he can do to get better. So with his knee hurting he’s doing a lot of upper body weight training. I tried doing it and couldn’t hang. LOL. I’ll stick to Zumba for now..hehe. He’s been eating his yogurt and banana for breakfast. Lunch and dinner salads.. He will be adding more fruits to his diet as he hasn’t been eating enough healthy fruits. I really am proud of him. I totally see a difference in him. He’s a lot more active and running more (when his knees aren’t hurting). He was famous for falling asleep wherever whenever..haha And he’s not always sleeping anymore. I love that the most..hehe. His snoring is not soo annoying too. Maybe I love that most..hehe. He has just a happy attitude all around which is great. Love it. Bring on week 4. Go TEAM SEXY!!!

Week 2 of Lighten Up..

It was a hard week for Team Sexy. After losing that 18 lbs the first week, he was on cloud 9 and just stoked for the next week. However, the next week came and his workout sched would conflict with others things going on. So he was only able to work out 3 times the whole week. Not to mention we had an anniversary. And bday celebrations with friends that led to him falling off the wagon with his meal plans. Although I do have to say that even though he didn’t eat healthy, he kept his portions smalls and didn’t overindulge in all the yummy food. So he gets points for that…haha. Anyhoo, weigh in for week two was today.. He was nervous and worked his butt off in the gym most of the day Monday. And then again this morning.. He had stood up his trainer last Friday and so Ben had him work harder on Monday.. Guess he won’t be missing any more sessions. He totally learned his lesson. I’m proud of him. Even after a bad week, he was able to pull off an additional 8.5 lbs to bring his total weight loss to a lil over 26 lbs.. HOORAY for TEAM SEXY. He once again led the weight lost this week. Also on a good note, I’m finally trying to get with it. Hehehe. Still have a long ways to go, but I’m definitely trying right now. My husband has been a good motivation for me. I know it’ll be easier for him if my kids and I are right there doing what he’s doing.. Yay to a healthy family..Our ultimate goal!!!

11 years and counting..

We celebrated 11 years of marriage today.  We don't usually make a big fuss over celebrating.  We had made plans with friends and it was definitely something we needed.  We also had a birthday celebration in the mix.  We started with dinner at Pawit's Royale Thai up in the Cottonwood area.  Never had Thai food.  But heard tons of good things.  And can I just say, I'm in love.  The food was delisioso.  Everything I ate was tasty.  The flavors are soo strong.  You've got a lil bit of sweet, sour and spicy all in it.  My favorite, the mango sticky rice dessert.  Well all of it was my favorite.  So look it up and try it all one day.  Price is decent too.  Its not a very big place and it got crowded later in the evening.
Still was an early day after dinner so we headed over to watch "Date Night".  Buhahaha.  Funny Funny movie.  Yesterday my husband and I went out to watch "Why Did I Get Married Too".  Loved it.  Funny, Drama, Sad movie. I thought it funny that we're celebrating our anniversary and all the movies we've watched dealt with different issues or joys of marriage. Some of it I could relate too.  Some of it I thank the Lord each day that I don't have to deal with.  And pray I don't ever have to deal with.  Anyhoo Both good movies..
Even after the movie, it still was an early day..haha.  Yes, we started our outing at 5pm..hahah.  So you see why it was still early.  We literally cruised State St (hahaha..memories of high school) and finally headed on over to Laser Quest.  We were the oldest guest there...hahaha.  Still enjoyed ourselves and worked off all that food we ate.  Never too old for laser tagging.  Hahaha
I can't believe we did all that tonite.
It definitely was a fun nite out with friends and family that we love dearly.
I felt like I was back in high school on a group date.  Hahaha.
Still remember the first time Fo'i and I hooked up.
He mentioned that its been about 18 years that we've
been apart of each other lives.  WOW..
As friends, and then dating and finally married.
I'm soo happy that I married my best friend.
I love him dearly and feel blessed to have him as my eternal companion.
Tomorrow the kids will be back and we'll be back to our daily routine.
I miss my kids and can't wait for them to be home.

Spring Break...

Its spring break this week.. We had planned in advance to go visit family in Northern Cali for spring break. It had been a year or so since we’ve been out there and figured it’ll be a nice break for the kids. My husband requested his vacation and couldn’t get the same week off. So instead, he has all of next week off when the kids are back in school. I couldn't get the whole week off.  So we decided to go ahead and send them out anyway. My kids flew out yesterday with my lil bro to Frisco. Glad we were able to get passes from my FIL to send them. They had been trying their hardest to be good for the past month, complete their homework, do all their chores and just be on their best behavior so that mommy & daddy wouldn’t punish them and have them stay home. LOL. My kids deserved a lil vacay. So I’m happy the day finally came. I asked my daughter how her flight was and she said ‘squishy’. LOL!! She sat with her unko and he didn’t give her much room to stretch out.. Especially since it was one of the smaller 60 passenger Express planes.. So they are now in California.. DaisyGirl with my sis in Newark. And Miah with my BIL in Tracy. I know they are just having a grand ol’ time. Especially Bigboi.. he just don’t know how to call home. Hahha. I already could tell when talking to Babygirl that she was feeling homesick. But she promised she’d be ok and so I think she is really trying.. She always tends to feel homesick when its sleep time.. I am trying to make the best of the time I have without them. Our daily routine revolved around them and their activities. Now, Hubby and I will just enjoy it and make the best of it.. Its gonna be a long week. Guess I can start by working out with Team Sexy…hahaha.

Down 17.9lbs

I wish it were the case for me. But it isn’t. TEAM SEXY went from 337.1 to 319.2 in the first week of the Fox13 Lighten Up Challenge. He had the most weight lost.  But they measure it by percentage so I'm not sure where that puts him.  The other participants did very well too. Also losing in the double digits. So Fo’i has some good competition. I’m sooo proud of him. He has been working out every week day at least an hour with his trainer. He’ll occasionally do cardio on his own. Instead of his 2 big meals a day. He’s now eating 6 smalls meals. Snacking on veggies and those healthy thingymajigs... Went from drinking soda and flavored drinks every day. To only drinking water. It definitely has been a drastic change for him. I pray and hope he’ll keep it up. He’s really into it so I know he’ll do well.. Now…Its all on me to get on board. I need all your prayers..hahaha.
His trainer got too excited and made them t-shirts.
Even got Big Budah a TEAM SEXY t-shirt.  LOL.
Thanks Babe for putting your t-shirt on just so I could
get a picture for my blog..hehehe!

Lighten Up Update..Team Sexy..haha

So earlier this week, the participants were weighed in and assigned their Gold’s Gym personal trainer. My favorite contestant, Team Sexy (hahaha his trainer picked the team name) weighed in at a whopping 337.1. Not his heaviest.. But heavy enough for him to need to do something to change it.. Hubby really likes his trainer Ben. He works him out all week. Doing different types of workouts. Alot he's never down in his life.  Stairmaster, kickboxing, using the exercise ball etc. His trainer says its important to confuse the body, the muscles by doing different workouts everyday. So the body doesn’t get use to the same workouts and then plateau’s.. Ok, whatever works right. Well apparently it has been working. Seriously. I can already see it in my hubby. In his clothes. I can feel a difference in his body.. Ok TMI. But you know what I mean..hehe. His trainer even went out and bought him several books. Eat This, Not That and Cook This, Not That. Pray that I can make those healthy meals for him and of course for myself. Like I said, can’t have my hubby smaller than me…Ugh. But this is about him not me hehehe so anyhoo. At first I was a bit concerned thinking that maybe its not healthy to drop so much so quickly. I think he was a bit annoyed with my concerned comments. But seriously I was concerned and of course excited for him. But he advised me that the first week it would be like this being he's totally changed his eating habits and alot of it is water weight.  Ok, I'm ok with that explanation..hehehe  But I’ll let his next weigh in with Fox13 on Tuesday tell how much he’s lost. Don’t wanna post it here and jinx him. LOL. I am really proud of him and really excited for his new healthy life.. Pray I get on board too.. I really need it in my life...…

Go Team Bomber!!

Spring softball is in full swing.
Funny though cause it doesn't feel like spring at all.
Booooo you Utah weather.
We're playing for Bountiful again this year.
So didn't want to..
Wanted to stay close to home
But that didn't happen.
We still got to put together a team from the RP
Some new players, some old players
It definitely has been a busy couple weeks
Trying to do our daily task with softball added to it
Finally today the girls had their first game of the season
We all looked forward to it
Especially the returning players
We were excited for our newbies
And so proud of them
It definitely was a great game
I was proud of them all
The team looks good
Definitely excited for this year
Lets go TEAM BOMBER!!!
